How do I post an ad?
You must create an account and sign in before you can post an ad.
Once signed in, click the Post an ad button on the main menu. Select your item price range or ad type to get started. Complete the form (fill out all fields with an asterisk).
Remember to tick the box after reading the Disclaimer and Liability Privacy Policy.
Images: Before you photograph the item for sale, make sure it is clean and dust-free. Place the item in good lighting so buyers can see its condition. Interested Buyers want to see an image of the item advertised, not web screenshots.
You can find a detailed list of fees on our Pricing page. Unpaid listings will be automatically removed after two weeks.
How do I sign up or register?
Select Register from the main menu and fill out the user registration form.
There are seven fields and one tick box with an asterisk that require action (you may have to tick the Disclaimer again). It is a lot; we try to stop bots/scammers from registering on the site.

You will receive an email with a verification link. If you haven't received the email in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folders. Once you have verified your email by clicking or pasting the link into your browser, you can log in to eBility.
Remember to tick the box after reading the Disclaimer and Liability Privacy Policy.
How do I sign in?
Select Sign in from the main menu. Enter your username and password and press Login.
Can’t log in or haven't received a verification email?
If you can't remember your password, click "Forgot your password?" and follow the prompts. If you can't remember your username, click on "Forgot your username?" and follow the prompts. Please check your spam or junk folders if you haven't received a reset email. If your verification email has not come through after ten minutes, or you can't log in for any other reason, please email us at
How do I contact an advertiser?
Sometimes, advertisers will post their phone number or email address in the contact field. To view these details, you must be logged in as a registered user. You can Register and Sign in; otherwise, you can use the contact form on the right-hand side of the advertisement. The seller will receive your message by email.
How can I tell if it's a scam?
Unfortunately, scammers are everywhere on the Internet. Classified scammers try to trick buyers and sellers by impersonating either a genuine seller or buyer and attempting to obtain personal or financial information from you for financial gain.
We have compiled a quick guide for you on Avoiding Online Scams to help you be safe and confident when using eBility.
Can I edit my advertisement?
Yes, you can. When you sign in to your account, go to the My account menu item and select Submitted classifieds. You can click on the EDIT link underneath your advertisement. Once you have changed the ad, click the Save link.
eBility is not an automated process; all new, renewed, and edited listings are placed in the moderation queue. While in the moderation queue, they are checked for accessibility issues, images are given alt-text, metadata keywords are added for better search engine capability, and then published for public viewing within one business day. All listings with an expiry date receive an extra week at no charge to accommodate any downtime in the moderation process.
Remember to tick the box after reading the Disclaimer and Liability Privacy Policy.
How do I get an item?
You must contact the Seller or Advertiser to arrange for the pickup or drop-off of any item for sale. eBility is a classified site; we do not handle item exchanges or deliveries. Any sale or exchange of items is strictly between the Buyer and the Seller.
What is eBility?
eBility is an online marketplace for buying and selling new and secondhand aged care or disability-related equipment, modified and accessible vehicles, and accessible properties. eBility does not buy or sell items. Any sale or exchange of items is made between the Seller and the Buyer.

How long does it take for my ad to be published?
eBility operates Monday to Friday within business hours. eBility is not an automated process. All new, renewed, and edited adverts are placed in the moderation queue.
While in the queue, each advert is checked and formatted by real-life humans for accessibility issues, images are provided with alternative text, and metadata is added for search engine optimisation (SEO). Once payment is processed (where applicable), adverts are then published for public viewing within one business day.
Please note: If you are paying via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), it may take several business days to process payment. Only once payment is processed, your advert will be processed and published within one business day.
All listings with an expiry date receive an extra week at no charge to accommodate any downtime in the moderation process.
What can I sell on eBility?
You can sell any specialised disability equipment or mobility aids, modified or accessible vehicles, or accessible property (Real Estate).
Some new or used items you might find on eBility include:
- height-adjustable beds and tables, lift chairs, hoists, shower and toilet commodes
- specialised pediatric disability equipment and mobility aids
- wheelchairs, mobility scooters and rollators/wheelie walkers
- Assistive technology, adaptive aids and utensils
- Modified and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs)
- Parts and accessories for Modified and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles (WAVs)
- Accessible Properties to Rent or Buy (Real Estate listings)
What can't I sell on eBility?
Medical devices that usually require a doctor’s prescription, e.g., Oxygen Concentrators, BiPAP, and CPAP machines, cannot be sold on the eBility website.
For safety alerts on medical devices, contact the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA).
No food items can be sold on the eBility website.
What is IDEAS?
IDEAS stands for Information on Disability, Education and Awareness Services. We are a not-for-profit organisation that specialises in disability and aged care information. We can point you in the right direction to find services, support, aids, equipment, or anything you might need.
IDEAS purchased eBility in 2015 and has been proudly connecting buyers and sellers of all things disability for over a decade.
