Below are some frequently asked questions we have compiled for you.
1. How do I post an ad?
You must create an account and sign in before posting an ad. Once signed in, click the Post an ad button on the main menu. Select your item price range or ad type below to get started. and complete the form (all fields with an asterisk must be filled out).
Remember to tick the box after reading the Disclaimer and Liability Privacy Policy.
You can find a detailed list of fees on our Pricing page. Unpaid listings will be automatically removed after three weeks.
3. How do I sign up or register?
Select Register from the main menu and fill out the user registration form.
There are seven fields and one tick box with an asterisk that require action (you may have to tick the Disclaimer again). It is a lot; we try to stop bots/scammers from registering on the site.

You will receive an email with a verification link. If you haven't received the email in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folders. Once you have verified your email by clicking or pasting the link into your browser, you can log in to eBility.

4. How do I log in?
Select Sign in from the main menu. Enter your username and password and press Login.
5. Can’t log in or haven't received a verification email?
If you can't remember your password, click "Forgot your password?" and follow the prompts. If you can't remember your username, click on "Forgot your username?" and follow the prompts. Please check your spam or junk folders if you haven't received a reset email. If your verification email has not come through after ten minutes, or you can't log in for any other reason, please email us at
6. How do I contact an advertiser?
Sometimes, advertisers post their phone number or email address in the contact field. To view these details, you must be logged in to the site. You can Register and Sign in; otherwise, you can use the contact form on the right-hand side of the ad.
7. Can I edit my advertisement?
Yes, you can; when you Sign in to your account, you can go to the My account menu item and select Submitted classifieds. You can click on the EDIT link underneath your advertisement. Once you have changed the ad, click the Save link.
All new, renewed, and edited listings are placed in the moderation queue. While in the moderation queue, they are then checked for accessibility issues, images are given alt-text, metadata keywords are added for better search engine capability, and then published for public viewing within one business day. All listings with an expiry date are given an extra week at no charge to accommodate any downtime for the moderation process.

8. How do I get an item?
You must contact the advertiser to arrange for the pickup or drop-off of any advertised equipment. eBility is a classified site; we do not handle item exchanges or deliveries.
9. What is eBility?
eBility is a classifieds marketplace for buying and selling age care or disability-related equipment, vehicles, and properties (no food items). eBility does not buy or sell items. The items listed are between the Seller and the Buyer. eBility operates Monday to Friday within business hours, and the moderation queue is checked on the weekends and public holidays (times may vary).
All healthcare items' packaging must be unopened and within their expiry date if applicable (please list the expiry dates on the advertisement).
Medical devices that require a Doctor's prescription can not be sold on the eBility website. Please read this information from the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) on buying medical devices.
10. What is IDEAS?
IDEAS stands for Information on Disability, Education and Awareness Services. We are a not-for-profit organisation that specialises in disability information. We can point you in the right direction to find services, support, aids, equipment, or anything you might need as a person with a disability.
