This is a great organisation that can help you with anything from equipment, incontinence aids, access to 2 great low cost, accessible holiday units and they run an academic and sporting scholarship. Easy to work with and friendly - they can only help children with physical disabilities or physical and intellectual disabilities.

Epilepsy Support Group of Newcastle

Kim is a quiet acheiver who runs a great support group. She gets some great quality speakers on some really interesting topics. This group has a nice social element and it is a friendly low key environment to find out more about epilepsy. She also publishes a regular newsletter.

Life Solutions

This program is funded by the Department of Ageing, Disability, and Home Care to provide:

Many members of FSF have used the services of Life Solutions and Life Activities. They are a group with a very different approach to fundraising, and delivery of assistance. They occasionally run some great events for carers so make sure they know about you! They are probably the most flexible and fast in assisting and they are definatley someone to turn to in emergencies for assistance with equipment, therapy or a wide, wide range of other support. The quality of staff means that they have a very humane approach to dealing with your situation.

Disability Advocacy NSW Inc

DASH is a veteran of disability advocacy and are really in the know about other services in the area. They are professional and really well run. The website is a great place to start when you are searching for something.

Educare

The EDuCARE Support Service aims to improve the health and wellbeing of carers who are providing support for a loved one who have a chronic disability or illness. Carers can be parents, partners, a brother, a sister, friends, neighbours or children of any age, who may care for a few hours a week, or all day every day.

EDuCARE Support Service runs carer education programs. Some of the topics include stress management, practical skills for carers, community resources, legal issues, and emotional aspects of caring. Respite care is available to those in need.

Educare is a great connection for carers, they run some great programs and some nice carer days. It is a small team funded by Hunter New England Health, most of the team have had first hand caring experience either personally and or in the health system. Contact them to find out if they have anything that may be of interest and keep in touch as they also run some sib support and other innovated programs.

e-Bility Inclusive IT

e-Bility Inclusive IT is a Sydney based consultancy service with a focus on web accessibility and usability for people with disability. e-Bility designed our new FSF website and has assisted many disability organisations in Australia in making their websites accessible.

The e-Bility website is also a popular destination for disability information resources on a wide range of topics, including accessible travel, motivational speakers with disability, second hand equipment, book reviews, articles and more.
