About FSF

Families Supporting Families is an Incorporated Charity Organisation which was formally launched in 2003. FSF was born from almost accidental contact between parents in specialist's waiting rooms, early intervention programs and in hospital wards when sitting beside their children’s beds. It was quickly realised that they understood each other; that they could problem solve for each other purely based on first hand experiences.

Mission statement

FSF provides an opportunity for families of children with special needs to exchange ideas, information and experiences.

We aim to provide a means of communication between parents or carers for the sharing of information and their experiences in a mutually supportive environment; thus improving knowledge for informed decision making and giving emotional support that will enhance family well being.

Committee members

Our committee members come from a variety of diverse backgrounds; offering and utilising many of our skills, education and experiences to the team. We share any information and knowledge with the committee as well as with our members. We meet and submit reports on a monthly basis. This keeps our ongoing planning and daily tasks running smoothly, we also keep in very close contact via telephone and emails as the need arises. We are always looking for support with committee business so if you feel you have something to contribute please contact us. The committee positions are voluntary.

Donations

Families Supporting Families Incorporated is endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient from 14 Nov 2003, as such we are able to receive income tax deductible gifts. Please contact us for your receipt if you are making a tax deductable donation via electronic banking. Please also quote your name on the bank reference line when using electronic banking, unless you wish to remain anonymous.
