About ARATA

ARATA is an Association whose purpose is to serve as a forum for information sharing and liaison between people who are involved with assistive technology.

Our focus is on providing opportunities for sharing ideas to ensure the advancement the of rehabilitation and assistive technology in Australia, through activities as diverse as conferences, special interest groups, a web site, listserver, membership directory and a quarterly newsletter.

ARATA is also a signatory of the Tokushima Agreement. At the recent RESJA Meeting in Japan a draft agreement between allied organisations in Japan, Europe, America and Australia was signed. The aim is to foster cooperation between these organisations for the benefit of members.
